Resumo

Este estudio pretende establecer la relación existente entre la motivación del alumnado participante en un programa músico-social y las características del profesorado y su forma de relacionarse y facilitar las actividades en el aula de música. Participan dos músicos-docentes y 56 estudiantes del programa Musiquem de una escuela de primaria de Castelló. A través de un método mixto se utilizan entrevistas, grupos focales, observaciones y un cuestionario. Se ha realizado un análisis de contenido, estadísticos descriptivos simples y estadística inferencial. Los resultados determinan cómo el programa favorece una mayor motivación e implicación en las actividades realizadas en el aula fomentando la escucha, el respeto y la expresión de emociones y sentimientos.

Let's play together! Motivation and classrrom interaction in community music initiatives

Research that places the psychosocial benefits of music above purely musical outcomes is becoming increasingly common. On the other hand, motivation in music education is being investigated from perspectives that relate it to the classroom climate that arises from the type of interaction between students and teachers and the level of support in the learning process. This study aims to establish the relationship between the motivation of students participating in a music-social program and the characteristics of teachers and their way of relating to and facilitating activities in the music classroom. Two musician-teachers and 56 students from the Musiquem program of a primary school in Castelló participate in this study. Through a mixed method, interviews, focus groups, observations and a questionnaire are used. A content analysis, simple descriptive statistics and inferential statistics have been carried out. The results determine how the program favors a greater motivation and involvement in the activities carried out in the classroom by promoting listening, respect and the expression of emotions and feelings.
