Percussive knowledge in the public schools of Fortaleza – CE

This work is about the doctoral research on the percussive knowledge of the maracatus and marcial-show bands in public schools. In the face of the investigated practices, the research affirms the existence of percussive knowledge through epistemic, identity and social knowledge based on the theory of Charlot (2000) and proposes a reflection in terms of the epistemologies of the South, Santos (2010), for a constructive and valid educational possibility based on collective percussive practices in public schools.
