Resumo

Esta dissertação busca compreender as possíveis contribuições do processo de formação continuada na qualificação do trabalho musical desenvolvido por professoras generalistas na educação infantil e anos iniciais do ensino fundamental. Um estudo de caso, de orientação qualitativa, foi realizado a partir das ações da Oficina de Repertório Musical para Professores – ORMP, oferecida pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas – UFPel, às professoras generalistas da rede municipal de ensino da cidade de Pelotas-RS. Para a investigação, o recorte feito foi com a turma que concluiu os três módulos da oficina entre os anos de 2013 e 2014. Os objetivos da pesquisa foram: analisar o projeto da oficina; conhecer o que as professoras compreenderam frente à experiência musical da oficina; compreender a perspectiva dos monitores em relação ao processo de formação continuada; e refletir sobre a proposta oferecida e o papel da formação continuada em educação musical para professores generalistas. Os dados foram coletados a partir de documentos, além de entrevistas semiestruturadas com a coordenadora e com os monitores da oficina, e com professoras que concluíram os três módulos. Como embasamento teórico foram utilizados autores que discutem os processos de formação continuada na área da educação e autores que refletem sobre a formação musical continuada de professores generalistas. Os resultados apontam a importância da metodologia utilizada para o desenvolvimento das atividades frente ao conteúdo abordado. A priorização da vivência musical aliada à continuidade dos encontros, assim como o processo coletivo e contínuo de reflexão e (re)construção da oficina, foram fatores que contribuíram para a compreensão e posterior adaptação das atividades musicais em sala de aula pelas professoras que participaram desta atividade de formação continuada.

This dissertation seeks to understand the possible contributions of the continuing education process to the qualification of the musical work developed by generalist teachers in child education and in the early years of primary education. One case study of qualitative approach was conducted through the actions of the Oficina de Repertório Musical para Professores – ORMP, offered by the Universidade Federal de Pelotas – UFPEL to the generalist teachers from the municipal teaching network from the city of Pelotas-RS. For this investigation, the class which concluded the three modules of the workshop between the years of 2013 and 2014 was selected. The purposes of the research were: to analyze the workshop’s project; to learn what the teachers have understood about the musical experience in the workshop; to understand the monitors perspective regarding the continuing education process; and to meditate about the proposal and the role of continuing education in musical education for generalist teachers. Data were obtained from documents, semiestructured interviews carried out with the workshop coordinator and monitors, and from the teachers who had concluded the three modules. Theoretical background consisted on authors who discuss the continuing processes in the educational area and authors who deliberate about musical continuing education with generalist teachers. Results point out to the importance of the methodology used to developing the activities regarding the approached content. The prioritization of the musical experience allied to the continuing character of the meetings, as well as the collective and continuing process of thinking and (re)constructing the workshop, were factors that contributed to the understanding and subsequent adaptation of the musical activities to the classroom, performed by the teachers who have participated in this continuing education activity.
