Ensino e Aprendizagem da Música Vocal Através das Canções Populares do Cariri

Resumo

This work is developed from the teaching and learning of vocal music, with the Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora Choir in Juazeiro do Norte, formed by young people and adults. It aims to analyze the musical learning process through the study of popular songs from the Cariri region, seeking to understand new possibilities of vocal music construction. Before a proposal of teaching and learning of the popular songs, the choir has the possibility to provide the social, creative development and interest for vocal music, adding vocal arrangements, corporal moviments, thus instigating the creativity of the students. The research is based on the considerations of authors such as Canclini (2000), Swanwick (2003) among other theorists of music education, sociology and ethnomusicology, who draw a reflection on the musical learning and cultural traditions of a people. The methodology is a qualitative approach, of the case study type, with the object of the study of the Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora Choir and as subjects of the research the participants of this vocal group. The data collection was done through interviews, photos and videos to record the essays and presentations.
