Resumo

O foco deste trabalho é a construção e aplicação de um modelo de gestão para formação, a distância, de músicos da Sociedade Lítero Musical Minerva Cachoeirana, filarmônica situada na cidade de Cachoeira, Recôncavo baiano, que mantém uma banda de música há 125 anos. O estudo desenvolveu um desenho combinado de pesquisa que utilizou um paradigma interpretativo e qualitativo acoplado à pesquisa aplicada, visando intervir, educacionalmente, na instituição em foco. O modelo em questão está fundamentado em dados sobre bandas de música e sobre a forma de funcionamento da filarmônica pesquisada. A primeira parte trata dados históricos sobre bandas de música, educação em geral, musical e a distância e normas internas da Filarmônica Minerva. A segunda parte trata dos métodos, estrutura, instrumentos de coleta e registro da pesquisa, do modelo de gestão; criação e aplicação do Curso Batuta. A terceira traz os resultados da pesquisa, da avaliação do Curso Batuta, do modelo de gestão e do impacto do curso nos músicos, na filarmônica e na comunidade. A quarta parte conclui a pesquisa, sugerindo recomendações para a educação continuada dos músicos da Filarmônica Minerva. O apêndice inclui um kit do Curso Batuta. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam para uma inserção desta proposta na formação dos músicos. Todavia, deve-se observar as recomendações que visam a manutenção da identidade da banda, o fortalecimento da instituição, e a continuidade da pedagogia já utilizada na escola da filarmônica. Os resultados desta pesquisa apontam para uma possibilidade de mudança na formação dos músicos de bandas filarmônicas de cidades do interior. Entretanto, para que a mudança se realize de fato, será necessária a expansão da educação musical através da política de inclusão tecnológica nas filarmônicas.

This paper focuses on the development and use of a distant leaming management model for the musicians of the Sociedade Litero Musical Minerva Cachoeirana. (Literary and Musical Society from Cachoeira). This philharmonic society, located in the city of Cachoeira, in the bay region of the state of Bahia, has had a band of musicians for 125 years. The study developed a combined research design that used the interpretative and qualitative paradigm together with the applied research, aiming at intervening in the educational background of the institution being focused. The model being studied is based on data of bands of musicians and on the operational model of the researched philharmonic orchestras. The first presents the basis for the research planning and is divided into historical data on the bands of musicians and issues related to general education, music education, distant leaming and the internal standards observed of the Minerva Philharmonic Society. The second part deals with the methodology of the research: the methods used, the management model tested and the development and implementation of the Batuta Course. The third part deals with the results of the research: the evaluation of the Batuta Course, the evaluation of the management model and the impact of the course on the musicians of the philharmonic societies and on the community. The fourth part completes the research, suggesting studies on bands of music and making recommendations on continued distant learning for the musicians of the philharmonic societies. The appendix includes a kit of the Batuta Course. The results indicate a possibility of change in the background of the musicians of the philharmonic society in the inland cities. However, for this change to really happen, it is vital to expand the musical education through a policy of technological inclusion in the philharmonic societies.
