Resumo

Este artigo apresenta um recorte da dissertação de mestrado, em andamento, sobre aspectos relativos à leitura musical em escola regular. No estudo de caso realizado em aulas de música do 1º, 3º e 4º anos, foram selecionadas nove situações vivenciadas, que foram analisadas à luz de autores da alfabetização e letramento, e da psicologia histórico-cultural. Observou-se que a identificação do portador musical, primeiro, e, depois, o conteúdo/estrutura, são mais efetivos à leitura musical, a princípio, do que o reconhecimento sistemático de símbolos musicais.

Musical Reading in Elementary School: a historical-cultural perspective

This paper presents a part of a dissertation, in progress, about aspects related to reading music in a regular school. In the case study carried out in music classes of the 1st, 3rd and 4th years, nine lived situations were selected, which were analyzed in the light of authors of beginning reading instruction and literacy, and historical-cultural psychology. It has been observed that the identification of the musical carrier, first, and then the content/structure, are more effective at first reading than the systematic recognition of musical symbols.
