Resumo

O presente artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa em andamento sobre a relação entre atividades de banda e vida estudantil. Ela usa o método descritivo em quatro bandas escolares de Goiás. Discorre sobre o comportamento escolar de integrantes de bandas marciais a partir de questionários semi-estruturados e entrevistas com coordenadores pedagógicos e professores. O resultado aponta que pode haver uma relação significativa entre a atividade de banda e o comportamento escolar de seus integrantes.

Marching Bands of Goiânia City: Relationships with the Student life of its Members

This paper presents the results of an ongoing research on the relationship between the marching band activity and the student life. It uses the descriptive research method and focuses in four school bands of Goiania. It is described the school behavior of band ́s members through semi-structured questionnaires and interviews with pedagogical coordinators and teachers. The partial results show that may have a significative relationship between the band activity and the school behavior of its members.
