Resumo

Objetivou-se analisar a qualidade dos itens e dimensões do Protocolo para Screening de Habilidades Musicais (PSHM) e alinhar seus instrumentos adicionais. Participaram 433 estudantes de escolas públicas e privadas brasileiras e três juízes. Trata-se de uma pesquisa experimental pautada nos métodos psicométricos e psicofísicos. Empreendeu-se análise estatística descritiva, binomial, fatorial exploratória, correlação (item/dimensão e entre juízes). Os resultados indicaram médias diferentes entre as redes de ensino. A análise binomial foi p=0,000 e há correlação significativa entre as dimensões e itens no nível 0,01 no Tau de Kendell. O PSHM se organiza em um fator, na rede privada, e dois fatores na pública. A correlação entre as versões virtual e impressa atingiram nível de significância 0,01 e p<0,05 no teste de Wilcoxon. A correlação entre a análise dos juízes foi significativa nos níveis 0,01 e 0,05. Concluiu-se que o PSHM mensurou adequadamente as aptidões musicais e seus instrumentos adicionais foram delineados.

Protocol adequacy for Screening of Musical Abilities (PSHM) and additional instruments

The study aimed to analyze the quality of the items and dimensions of the Protocol for Screening Musical Skills (PSHM) and aligns its additional instruments. 433 students from Brazilian public and private schools and three judges participated in the study. It was experimental research based on psychometric and psychophysical methods. Descriptive statistical analysis, binomial, exploratory factorial and correlation (item/dimension and between judges) were performed. The results indicated different means between the education mainstreams. Binomial analysis indicated p=0.000 and there is a significant correlation between dimensions and items at level 0.01 in Kendell’s Tau. The PSHM is organized into one factor, in the private mainstream, and two factors in the public one. The correlation between the virtual and printed versions reached a significance level of 0.01 and p<0.05 in the Wilcoxon test. The correlation between the judges’ analysis was significant at the 0.01 and 0.05 levels. It was concluded that PSHM adequately measured musical aptitudes and its additional instruments were aligned.
