Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo é investigar a presença e as contribuições da Teoria das Representações Sociais na construção do campo epistemológico da Educação Musical no Brasil.Para tal, consultamos as produções apresentadas no catálogo de teses e dissertações, no banco de periódicos da CAPES e nas plataformas de difusão científica on-line Scielo e Google Scholar. Foram encontrados 14 trabalhos entre 1999 e 2019. A análise permitiu identificar os modos como a Teoria das Representações Sociais está presente nas investigações no campo da Educação Musical. Os resultados revelam que desde a década de 1990 essa teoria vem sendo usada nesse campo, sob variados enfoques. Como conclusão, identificamos a necessidade de estudos voltados a uma compreensão aprofundada dessa teoria, seus fundamentos, preceitos, ramificações teóricas e metodológicas de forma a atender às demandas do campo da Educação Musical.

Theory of social representations in musical education research: identifying fields and approaches

The objective of this article is to investigate the presence and contributions of the Theory of Social Representations in the construction of the epistemological field of Music Education in Brazil. To this end, we consult the publications in the catalog of theses and dissertations, in the CAPES periodics database and in the online scientific dissemination platforms Scielo and Google Scholar. 14 works were found between 1999 and 2019. The analysis allowed to identify the ways in which the Theory of Social Representations is present in investigations in the field of Music Education. The results reveal that since the 1990s this theory has been used in this field, under different approaches. In conclusion, we identified the need for studies aimed at an in-depth understanding of this theory, its foundations, precepts, theoretical and methodological ramifications in order to meet the demands of the field of Music Education.
