Resumo

O presente estudo propõe uma continuidade à pesquisa iniciada em meu mestrado sobre os processos composicionais envolvidos no segundo livro da Prole do Bebê de Villa-Lobos. N’O Camundongo de Massa, terceira peça da série, o compositor consagra o procedimento de alternância entre teclas brancas e pretas do piano em benefício da edificação dos estratos e texturas da obra. A título de coerência, manteremos a Teoria dos Conjuntos como principal suporte metodológico de investigação, porém sempre mantendo interesse por outras ferramentas.

Villa-Lobos and the manipulation of the topography of the piano in the construction of his modernist repertoire: a preliminary study on The Little Toy Mouse

This paper proposes a continuation of the research initiated in my master’s thesis about the compositional processes involved in the second book of Baby’s Family by Villa-Lobos. We restrict our investigation on the Asection of The Little Toy Mouse, third out of nine pieces, where the composer establishes the procedure of alternating white and black keys of the piano to the benefit of the construction of the strata and textures of the work. As for consistency, we will maintain the Set Theory as the main methodological support research, but always keeping interest for other tools.
