O presente texto traz uma resenha dos quatro capítulos finais da terceira edição do livro The Psychology of Music, editado por Diana Deutsch. Dessa forma, são analisados, individualmente, os seguintes capítulos: 14) Plasticidade cerebral induzida pelo treinamento musical, de autoria de Catherine Wan e Gottfried Schlaug; 15) Música e emoção, de autoria de Patrik Juslin e John Sloboda; 16) Cognição musical comparativa: estudos entre espécies e entre culturas, de autoria de Aniruddh Patel e Steven Demorest; e 17) Psicólogos e músicos: antes e agora, de autoria de Robert Gjerdingen.

The Psychology of Music, Edited by Diana Deutsch, 3rd Edition: Review of the Last Four Chapters

This paper is a review of the last four chapters of the third edition of the book The Psychology of Music, edited by Diana Deutsch. Accordingly, the following chapters are analyzed individually: 14) Brain plasticity induced by musical training, written by Catherine Wan and Gottfried Schlaug; 15) Music and emotion, written by Patrik Juslin and John Sloboda; 16) Comparative music cognition: cross-species and cross-cultural studies, written by Aniruddh Patel and Steven Demorest; and 17) Psychologists and musicians: then and now, written by Robert Gjerdingen.
