Resumo

Esta análise tem por objetivo verificar as estruturas simétricas e palindrômicas na composição do Estudo Nº 1 de Villa-Lobos, que ocorrem tanto na harmonia e na divisão formal, como na técnica do dedilhado utilizada na obra. Além disso, pretende investigar a relação entre tais estruturas com o caráter tonal da peça.

Symmetries and Palindromes in the Villa-Lobos’s Guitar Etude nº 1

This paper is an analysis that aims to verify the symmetric and palindromic structures in the Villa-Lobos Guitar Etude nº 1, which arise both in the harmony and in the formal division, as in the fingering technique used in the Etude. Furthermore, this analysis intends to investigate the relationship between those structures and the tonal character of the piece.
