Resumo

A proposta de artigo baseia-se no estudo das relações entre rep brasileiro em suas reflexões sobre as instâncias de repressão, em especial, a polícia. A partir de letras de música e rimas - criadas nas manifestações culturais urbanas-, objetiva-se construir um breve recorte das complicadas formas de contratos entre política de segurança e a arte de rua. Entendendo que a rima é, normalmente, o único instrumento de fala dos artistas do rep, e dado que essa belicosidade não é recente na trajetória do movimento, é fundamental verificar como se dão e se atualizam os modos de enfrentamentos aos aparelhos de repressão.

Rap and repression: a broken rhyme

The purpose of this article is based on the study of the relations between the Brazilian rap and its reflections on the instances of repression, especially with the police. From the lyrics of the songs and rhymes - created in urban cultural manifestations, the objective is to build up a brief cut of the complicated forms of contracts between security politics and street art. The understanding that rhyme is usually the only instrument of speech of these urban rap artists, and considering this bellicosity is not recent in the trajectory of the movement, it is fundamental to verify how the forms of confrontation with the apparatuses of repression are given and updated.
