Resumo

Contexto: A música tem se mostrado como uma alternativa viável na melhoria e manutenção da qualidade de vida da população idosa. Objetivo: investigar o perfil da produção científica sobre os temas Música e Idosos no período de 2018 e 2022. Método: foi utilizado o método de revisão do tipo bibliométrica, demonstrando as leis de Lotka, Bradford e Zipf. A busca foi realizada com recorte temporal de 2018 a 2022, com os descritores music, oldert adults, elderly, senior e aged em documentos de acesso aberto da base científica Web of Science. Resultados: A busca na base de dados resultou em 1738 documentos, 1479 artigos completos e 135 revisões da literatura. As principais autoras sobre o tema no período foram Daisy Fancourt (Reino Unido) e Felicity Anne Baker (Austrália). Os Estados Unidos da América foi o país mais produtivo. A principal revista foi a Frontiers in psych com 358 publicações no período. As principais palavras-chave foram Music, Music therapy e Dementia. Conclusões: foi possível perceber a música sendo utilizada para tratamento dos Transtornos Neurocognitivos (leve e maior), do mal de Alzheimer, cognição e memória, e que a musicoterapia estudou tratamentos para a qualidade de vida, saúde e bem-estar, particularmente no tratamento dos sintomas de stress, depressão e ansiedade. A consistência dos resultados permite a indicação de revisões sistemáticas da literatura sobre os tratamentos de desordens neurocognitivas a partir do uso de música para população idosa.

Profile of scientific production on music and elderly: a bibliometric review

Context: Music has been shown to be a viable alternative in improving and maintaining the quality of life of the elderly population. Objective: to investigate the profile of scientific production on Music and the Elderly in the period 2018 and 2022. Method: the bibliometric review method was used, demonstrating the laws of Lotka, Bradford and Zipf. The search was carried out with a time frame from 2018 to 2022, with the descriptors music, older adults, elderly, senior and aged in open access documents from the Web of Science scientific base. Results: The database search resulted in 1738 documents, 1479 full articles and 135 literature reviews. The main authors on the subject in the period were Daisy Fancourt (United Kingdom) and Felicity Anne Baker (Australia). The United States of America was the most productive country. The main magazine was Frontiers in psych with 358 publications in the period. The main keywords were Music, Music therapy and Dementia. Conclusions: it was possible to perceive music being used for the treatment of Neurocognitive Disorders (mild and major), Alzheimer's disease, cognition and memory, and that music therapy studied treatments for quality of life, health, and well-being, particularly in the treatment of symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. The consistency of the results allows the indication of systematic reviews of the literature on the treatment of neurocognitive disorders based on the use of music for the elderly population.
