Resumo

No final da década de 1980, na cidade de São Paulo, notou-se uma mudança nos repertórios e até mesmo na forma de execução dos músicos que transitavam na esfera da música popular. O texto trabalha com a hipótese de que esta transformação está relacionada com início da publicação dos Songbooks da Editora Lumiar. A partir de autores como Luiz Tatit, Carlos Sandroni e Jose Miguel Wisnik, o texto discute alguns aspectos do papel da partitura na música popular e da contribuição de Almir Chediak.

The Lumiar Publishing Co Songbooks: A Small Critical Review

In the 1980s, in the city of São Paulo, there was a change in the repertoires and even in the form of execution of the nmsicians who works on the popular music area. The text works with the hypothesis that this transformation is related with the beginning of the Songbooks of Lumiar Publishing Co publications. Based on authors such as Luiz Tatit, Carlos Sandroni and Jose Miguel Wisnik, the text discusses some aspects of the role of the score in popular music and the contribution of Almir Chediak.
