Resumo

Esse trabalho teve como objetivo investigar o protagonismo da mulher musicista em Vila Boa, antiga capital de Goiás, no final do século XIX e início do século XX, através do levantamento de registros em periódicos que evidenciaram as representações que circulavam sobre o seu papel, e a relação destas representações com a sua interferência na sociedade através do empreendedorismo e prática musical. Notou-se que esta mulher através da música, integrando uma sociedade claramente machista, tornou-se protagonista e venceu espaços dantes inalcançáveis.

The protagonism of the Vilaboense woman and her performance in musical scene: recording in periodicals and intersection of representations

This work had the aim to investigate the role as protagonist of the female musician in Vila Boa, former capital of Goiás, in the late ninetheenth and early twentieth centuries, through the records survey in periodicals that evidenced the representations that circulated about her role, and the relationship of these representations with her interference in society trough entrepreneurship and musical practice. It was noted that this woman trough music, integrating a clearly macho society, became protagonist and won space that were previously unachievable.
