Resumo

O objetivo desta pesquisa é demonstrar o alcance do pensamento de Heinrich Schenker no Brasil. O levantamento realizado obedece a três eixos básicos: 1. O trabalho do professor Wassermann, aluno de Schenker, no Rio de Janeiro, entre os anos de 1941 e 1968; 2. Jamary Oliveira e Cristina Gerling, o início da introdução da teoria de Schenker nas universidades públicas; 3. O ensino da teoria de Schenker nas Universidades Públicas do Brasil. As metodologias envolvidas na pesquisa incluem verificação em documentos de época, bibliotecas de teses e dissertações, repositórios digitais de universidades públicas e elaboração e distribuição de questionário direcionado a professores das universidades citadas. Com a documentação recolhida, foram criados quadros, tabelas e gráficos a partir dos dados bibliográficos e respostas obtidas no questionário como maneira de melhor esclarecer e visualizar os resultados da pesquisa. Ao final, alguns documentos pesquisados foram anexados à pesquisa, com o fito de melhor compreender os fatos ocorridos e facilitar a elucidação das questões dispostas ao longo da pesquisa.

The objective of this research is to demonstrate the reach of the thought of Heinrich Schenker in Brazil. The survey carried out follows three basic axes: 1. The work of Professor Wassermann, a student of Schenker, in Rio de Janeiro, between 1941 and 1968; 2. Jamary Oliveira and Cristina Gerling, the beginning of the introduction of Schenker's theory in public universities; 3. The teaching of Schenker's theory in Public Universities in Brazil. The methodologies involved in the research include verification in period documents, thesis and dissertation libraries, digital repositories of public universities and the elaboration and distribution of a questionnaire directed to professors of the mentioned universities. With the collected documentation, charts, tables and graphs were created based on bibliographic data and answers obtained in the questionnaire as a way to better clarify and visualize the research results. At the end, some researched documents were attached to the research, with the aim of better understanding the facts that occurred and facilitating the elucidation of the questions arranged throughout the research.
