Resumo

Este artigo propõe uma aproximação com os fundamentos da Retórica para subsidiar a análise do Concerto Didático da Série Orquestra nas Escolas promovido pela Orquestra Sinfônica do Espírito Santo (OSES) nas escolas públicas de educação básica. Considerando que o público encontrado nas escolas não tem o hábito de frequentar salas de concerto ou assistir a eventos semelhantes ao Concerto Didático, objeto da pesquisa em curso, admitimos que entre a plateia e a música veiculada por tal evento existe uma distância que dificulta o acesso ao corpo de conhecimento inerente às atividades orquestrais. Enquanto os integrantes da orquestra movem-se com familiaridade no âmbito de tais conhecimentos, pois diz respeito ao campo profissional em que atuam, para a plateia, os hábitos, convenções e conhecimentos dos aspectos relacionados a orquestra soam como novidade. Acreditamos que a Retórica nos ofereça meios apropriados para analisar a possibilidade de diminuir ou transpor a distância entre esses dois grupos (orquestra e plateia). Tomaremos, como referência, as cinco características da argumentação definidas por Olivier Reboul (1998) como unidades de análise. São elas: o auditório, a língua natural, as premissas verossímeis, o orador e a conclusão.

The Educational Concert Considered in Light of Rhetoric

This article proposes an approximation between the basics of the Rethoric to subsidize the analysis of the Educational Concert of the “Série Orquestra nas Escolas”, sponsored by the Symphonic Orchestra of Espírito Santo (OSES) in the public schools of basic education. Since the public to be found in such schools does not attend concert halls on a regular basis, and they also do not attend similar events such as the Didactic Concert, subject of this ongoing research, it has been admitted that between the audience and the music conveyed by such an event there is a distance that difficult the access to the knowledge related to the orchestral activities. Whilst the members of an orchestra are familiar with such knowledge, since this is their profession, to the audience, the habits, conventions and knowledge about the orchestra performance sound as novelty. We believe that the Rethoric offer us suitable means to analyze the possibility or transpose the distance between these two groups (orchestra and audience). We will take, as a reference, the five characteristics of argumentation defined by Olivier Reboul (1998) as units of analysis. They are: the audience, the natural tongue, the likelihood of the assumptions, the orator and the conclusion.
