Resumo

O presente artigo expõe a relação do compositor italiano Luigi Dallapiccola com a ópera e as maneiras que ele trabalha o processo criativo em função da dramaticidade e da mensagem que deseja transmitir com o enredo. Como exemplo, veremos um trecho da abertura da scena IV, da sua ópera Il Prigioniero. As principais referências utilizadas são os textos e reflexões do próprio compositor sobre o assunto, além de textos relacionados, de outros autores.

Luigi Dallapiccola: a “Prisioner” Man of the Theatre

This article presents the relationship of the Italian composer Luigi Dallapiccola with opera and the ways he works the creative process in function of drama and the message he want to convey with the plot. As an example, we'll see an excerpt from the opening of the scena IV, of his opera Il Prigioniero. The main references used are the texts and reflections of the composer himself about the subject, in addition to related texts, of other authors.
