The contributions of a research project of international cooperation for the international training of the teacher/researcher in music education

According to the President of the Coordination of the development of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), Professor Carlos Nobre, "modern science of the 21st century is made from international cooperation..." (Nobre, 2015) but the vast majority of researchers in graduate programs in Brazil have no international experience. When it comes to the training of the music education researcher in Brazil, despite the great development of the field in recent years, music graduate programs still have difficulties developing research projects in international cooperation. However, what are the contributions resulting from participation in an international research project for the training of the researcher in music education? This research project aims to identify the main contributions to the training of young researchers participating in an international cooperation project in music education between the Federal University of Ceará (Brazil) and Université Laval (Canada). The methodology used will be the case study, where five PhD students participating in this project will be observed (3 Canadians and 2 Brazilians). The starting hypothesis is that these students have succeeded in acquiring an important capacity for research in intercultural and interdisciplinary environments facilitating a future international integration of this one.
