Resumo

With their strange shapes and incredible sounds, the 14 sound sculptures of the Instrumentarium Baschet arouse curiosity and disbelief. This set of instruments is used in musical education for forty years throughout the world. This article presents the context that allowed its development. The methodological framework is anasynthèse (Legendre, 1983). A qualitative content analysis (L'Écuyer, 1990; Bardin, 2013) has been made on the outcome documentation of a research internship at the workshops of François Baschet (Paris) and a training course at the Structures sonores et pédagogie’s association (Saint-Michel-sur-Orge): text, audiovisual recording and interviews, monographs.
