Resumo

Propõe-se averiguar a relação entre articulação musical e articulação da língua falada, como componente do discurso eloquente musical e falado do período musical Barroco. Visando constatar a relação entre estas duas linguagens, fundamenta-se em informações obtidas nos tratados dos anos 600 e 700, nos quais autores mencionam propriedades do discurso oratório que justiiquem as ideias comparativas entre língua e música. O estudo dos elementos subjacentes às correspondências entre discurso e música franceses teve como base teórica a obra de Ranum (2001). Foi possível constatar como a articulação é relevante recurso expressivo na busca por pronúncia musical adequada no período musical Barroco.

18th century musical speech: Articulations and correspondence in rhythmic motifs

It is proposed to investigate the relationship between musical articulation and articulation of spoken language, as a component of the eloquent musical discourse and spoken of the Baroque musical period. In order to verify the relationship between these two languages, it is based on information obtained in the treatises of the 600's and 700's, in which authors mention properties of oratory discourse that justify the comparative ideas between language and music. The study of the elements underlying the correspondences between discourse and French music was based on the work of Ranum (2001). It was possible to verify how the articulation is relevant expressive resource in the search for proper musical pronunciation in the Baroque musical period.
