Resumo

Este trabalho faz parte de uma série de pesquisas iniciadas no Conservatório D’Alva Stella, com objetivo de verificar se a formação musical corresponde ao perfil dos interessados que procuram o ensino formal de música na Instituição. “Cada aluno traz consigo um domínio de compreensão musical quando chega a nossas instituições educacionais” (SWANWICK, 2003, p.66). Diante dos dados coletados será possível refletir sobre a estrutura curricular buscando melhorias. O maior desafio é corresponder ao perfil jovem e diverso reduzindo a evasão, onde necessitará de múltiplos esforços.

This work is a part of a series of research that was begun at the Conservatório D'Alva Stella, with the objective of verifying whether or not the musical education corresponds to the profile of those who are interested that are looking for formal music education at this institution. "Each student brings with him a grasp of the understanding of music when he arrives at our educational institutions" (SWANWICK, 2003, p. 66). Looking at the gathered information it will be possible to reflect on an improved structure of curriculum. The biggest challenge is to match the profile of the student so as to diminish the need for multiple efforts.
