Resumo

O livro Cidades vibrantes: experiência sonora e urbana na América Latina, editado por Natalia Bieletto-Bueno (2020), reúne uma série de textos que apresentam e analisam, sob diferentes perspectivas, as múltiplas, e muitas vezes contraditórias, relações que existem entre som, escuta e espaço público nas cidades latino-americanas. Dessa forma, oferece tanto um estado da arte sobre os estudos das cidades latino-americanas feitos sob a ótica da virada sonora, quanto novas formas de compreender a cidade e aqueles que a habitam.

Vibrant Cities: Sound and urban aural experience in Latin America, a book edited by Natalia Bieletto-Bueno (2020), is an edited volume that introduces a series of texts that present and analyzes, from different perspectives, the multiple and often contradictory, relationships that exist between sound, listening and public space within the Latin American cities. Thus, it presents state of the art on studies of listening, muscking, and public spaces within Latin American cities while offering new ways of understanding these cities and those who dwell in them.
