Resumo

Este trabalho apresenta uma análise musical da obra Suíte Imperial da compositora paulista Clarisse Leite (1917–2003) a partir das seis técnicas analíticas propostas por John Rink (2002) em Analysis and (or?) performance?, com a concepção de intersecção entre análise e performance. Segundo Rink (2002), interpretar necessariamente implica em decisões, sendo a/o intérprete também analista ao expressar música na sua prática. Desta forma, temos como objetivo demonstrar contribuições da análise musical para a construção de performance, a partir da proposta que intersecciona análise prescritiva e descritiva (Rink 2002, p. 37), isto é, da partitura da obra junto às decisões interpretativas da performance construída com a análise. Praticamos as técnicas analíticas propostas pelo autor, através de recursos como tabelas, gráficos e renotações, descrevendo suas implicações na prática interpretativa e o que derivou da própria prática musical. Por meio desse trabalho, foi possível construir performances da obra a partir desse processo analítico-interpretativo e de demais procedimentos investigativos complementares que implicam nas concepções de sentido: informações da obra e da compositora, entrevista com violonista da dedicatória, intérpretes e editores, acesso à partitura manuscrita e editada, e questões relativas à própria escolha de repertório que originou o presente trabalho, como a contextualização da produção de mulheres compositoras para violão a partir das contribuições de reflexões sobre música e gênero e análise histórico-estilística.

Music analysis of Clarisse Leite's Imperial Suite for guitar based on John Rink's analytical techniques: the intersection between analysis and performance in interpretive construction

This paper presents a musical analysis of Suíte Imperial by Clarisse Leite (1917– 2003) based on the six analytical techniques proposed by John Rink (2002) in Analysis and (or?) performance?, with the conception of intersection between analysis and performance. According to Rink (2002), interpreting necessarily implies making decisions, and the performer is also an analyst when expressing music in his/her practice. In this way, we aim to demonstrate contributions of musical analysis to the construction of a performance, based on the proposal that intersects prescriptive and descriptive analysis (Rink 2002, p. 37), that is, the score of the work together with the interpretative decisions of the performance built with the analysis. We employ the analytical techniques proposed by the author, through resources such as tables, graphs and renotations, describing their implications in the performance practice and what derived from the musical practice itself. Through this work, it was possible to construct performances of the work from this analytical-interpretative process and other complementary research procedures that imply in the conceptions of meaning: information about the work and the composer, interview with the dedicatee guitarist, interpreters and editors, access to handwritten and edited score, and issues related to the choice of repertoire that originated the present work, such as the contextualization of the production of women composers for guitar based on the contributions of reflections on music and genre and historical-stylistic analysis.
