The production of digital and interactive material for music apprenticeship: the initiation of a music teacher in programming with scratch
This paper aims to report the experience of the author, as an undergraduate research fellow of the research group PESQUISAMUS. The advisor of the fellow proposed to construct a digital/virtual version of a music education activity originally conceived for the physical environment. Based on the didactic transposition concept the author felt the the need to adapt the activity replacing all body gestures proposed in the original version by actions on the interface of the virtual scene. Thus, through these adaptations, the fellow scholarship developed computational thinking, and gradually appropriating the programming functions of the environment in which the activity was developed (Scratch). This experience proved very beneficial for the scholarship holder, as it provided an opportunity of developing computer skills applying this knowledge directly to music education.
