Resumo

O presente artigo busca analisar o reemprego de melodias pré-existentes para a reelaboração de novos textos no cancioneiro secular/sacro dentro das tradições judaicas. Considerando o costume sefardita de “empréstimos” de melodias da tradição e o uso de contrafacta em canções retiradas do ambiente cultural para uso tanto na liturgia (piyyutim) quanto em situações paralitúrgicas (pizmonim), hipotetizamos que a função da melodia possui primazia em relação ao texto. Para tanto, acreditamos que o conceito de polifonia discursivo-musical aventado por Lanna possa funcionar como pressuposto teórico no entendimento desta relevância, analisando a migração de sentidos entre duas canções judaicas orientais atestando com isso o “renascimento dos sentidos” tal como sugerido pelo filósofo russo Mikhail Bakhtin.

Discursive-musical polyphony as a theoretical assumption for understanding the revelance of melody regarding to text in spehardic musical traditions: migration of meanings between two songs by the Eastern Jewish songbook

This article seeks to analyze the reemployment of pre-existing melodies for the rewriting of new texts in the secular/sacred repertoire in the Jewish traditions. Considering the Sephardic custom of “borrowing” traditional melody and the indiscriminate use of contrafacta in songs taken from the cultural environment for use in both liturgy (piyyutim) and paraliturgical situations (pizmonim), we hypothesize that the function of melody has primacy over to the text. To this end, we believe that Lanna’s concept of discursive-musical polyphony can function as a theoretical presupposition in understanding this relevance, analyzing the migration of meanings between two Eastern Jewish songs, thus attesting to the “renaissance of the senses” as suggested by the Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin.
