A música na formação de pedagogos: Fundamentos da Linguagem Musical na Educação em diálogo

Resumo

The present work is part of a master's research that aims to analyze, among others, the discipline of Fundamentals of Musical Language in Education, offered in the degree course in Pedagogy of the University of Brasília (UNB) to discuss the knowledge related to music and provided to students. Starting from the documentary analysis of the disciplinary menu, this qualitative research also has a structured interview with the teacher who conducts the course. The data collected are analyzed in the light of the Grounded Theory and correlated with data extracted from the Childhood education notebook of the Federal District Basic Education Curriculum, which was also analyzed from the Gounded Theory. All data were correlated to discuss the educational background of the pedagogue. We conclude that the UNB Pedagogy course offers theoretical, conceptual and practical support that enables its egress to work with music as prescribed by the preschool curriculum. However, the optional nature of this discipline in the Pedagogical Project of the Pedagogy course on screen is a complicating factor. Thus, there is an inconsistency with the law, which provides for the obligation of educators to teach music by taking classes in basic education.
