Resumo

Este artigo apresenta algumas reflexões sobre a expressão musical no teatro, buscando compreendê-la pela dimensão simbólica da performance, associada aos preceitos de “música de cena” e diálogos com teorias do dramaturgo alemão Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956). A partir de bases teóricas interdisciplinares sobre a expressão musical teatral, o trabalho expõe caminhos para o desenvolvimento de uma descrição musical através da autoetnografia junto ao Coletivo de Teatro Alfenim (PB), grupo teatral que desenvolve dramaturgias próprias nos seus espetáculos, inclusive musicais e mantém relação com teorias político-artísticas brechtianas. Conjectura-se a performance musical teatral como construtiva dos significados cênicos e político-sociais.

The musical expression in the theater: in search of an autoethnography with the theater collective Alfenim (PB)

This article presents some reflections on the musical expression in the theater, seeking to understand it by the symbolic dimension of the performance, associated to the precepts of "scene music" and dialogues with theories of the German playwright Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956). Based on interdisciplinary theoretical bases on the theatrical musical expression, the work exposes ways for the development of a musical description through the autoetnografia next to the Collective of theater Alfenim (PB), a theater group that develops dramaturgias own in its spectacles, including musical and maintains relation with brechtian political-artistic theories. Theatrical musical performance is conjectured as constructive of the scenic and socio-political meanings.
