Resumo

A presente tese realiza uma leitura da Teoria Schenkeriana a partir do conceito de organicismo. Trata-se de uma investigação da relação entre uma teoria musical e o conjuntos de imagens e metáforas que a atravessam. Sob esse viés, revisa a obra de Heinrich Schenker, contextualizando-a e refletindo sobre as filosofias nela explícitas e implícitas. Pensa como os conceitos de estrutura e organismo são associados em sua teoria e como essa associação reflete um determinado estado epistemológico em que aspectos românticos e modernos são articulados em uma singular filosofia da música. A partir dessa leitura, realiza um recorte em pesquisas neo-schenkerianas, refletindo sobre as continuidades e contrastes que estabelecem com o ideário da teoria original. Propõe o diálogo de outras imagens orgânicas com esse cenário mais atual. Finalmente, discute a metafísica da Teoria Schenkeriana sob a ótica pós-estruturalista da filosofia de Jacques Derrida.

This doctoral thesis examines Schenkerian’s Theory through organicism. It is an investigation of the relationship between a musical theory and the group of images and metaphors that traverse it. From this perspective, it reviews the Heinrich Schenker's work, contextualizing it and reflecting on its explicit and implicit philosophies. It examines the association of the concepts of organism and structure in this theory and how such association reflects a given epistemological state. This dissertation examines neo-schenkerian analysis, offering a reflection on the continuities and contrasts that they establish with the original theory. It proposes the dialog of other organic images with this new scenario. Finally, this doctoral thesis examines the metaphysics of Schenkerian’s Theory through the lens of Jacques Derrida post-structuralist philosophy.
